Possible Cause #1
Too much dust has accumulated on the collection blades and ionizing wires

Solution
Turn off the unit, unplug and clean the collection blades and ionizing wire thoroughly.

Internal components are wet

Solution
Turn off the unit, unplug and remove the blades. Allow to dry.
