Test the unit in a smaller room away from heating / air conditioning and see if set humidity level can be reached

NOTE: Air conditioners act as dehumidifiers drawing moisture from your house. Heaters raise the level of water that the air in a room can hold resulting in lower relative humidity even though there may be more water in the air. Take note that when the air cools back down you may get some dew.
