The UV light has a lifespan of 10,000 hours, which means that with continuous 24/7 use, it can last for over a year, provided the unit is properly maintained.

The UV-C germicidal light is recommended to be replaced approximately every 12 – 24 months (or after ~10,000 hours of use) for optimal germ-killing effectiveness.

UV-C lamps lose effectiveness over time, even if they’re still glowing — the UV output that actually inactivates microbes drops significantly after a period of use (often around 10,000 hours, roughly 1–2 years of daily operation).
