These are the common causes & solutions:

1. Unit is tilted or moved during operation

Cause: Water inside the unit can spill if it’s not upright.

What to do:

  • Place it on a flat, stable surface
  • Avoid moving it while it’s running

2. Water tank not seated properly

Cause: Misaligned internal or bottom tank leads to leaks.

What to do:

  • Remove and reinsert the tank securely
  • Make sure it clicks fully into place

3. Tank is full or overflowing

Cause: When full, excess water may spill out.

What to do:

  • Empty the tank regularly
  • Ensure the float and lid are correctly positioned

4. Blocked drainage path

Cause: Dirt or debris prevents water from flowing into the tank.

What to do:

  • Clean the tank area and drainage channels
  • Check for any blockage between internal and bottom tank

5. Continuous drain hose issue (if using one)

Cause: Hose not sloping downward or not connected properly.

What to do:

  • Ensure hose runs downward with no bends
  • Reattach it securely

6. Very high humidity

Cause: Produces more water than usual → may look like leaking.

What to do:

  • This is normal; just empty more frequently
  • Lower humidity setting if needed

7. Damaged tank or worn seals

Cause: Cracks or loose seals allow water to escape.

What to do:

  • Inspect the tank for cracks - Manually fill the tank with water and observe for any leaks or drips.
  • Replace damaged parts or send for repair

If you’ve checked everything above and it’s still leaking, it may need professional inspection (e.g., internal seal damage or structural issue). Please contact us at support@andatech.com.au for further assistance.
