Yes. The plastic packaging around the filters must be removed before using the Ionmax+ Aire ION900PRO Air Purifier.
The manual specifically instructs users to remove the plastic packaging from the filters before using the air purifier.
If the plastic remains on the filter:
- Airflow is greatly restricted.
- Air cannot pass properly through the HEPA and carbon filter media.
- Air purification performance is severely reduced.
