The Ionmax Rhine Pro ION651 can be used primarily for dehumidification, but the air filter must remain in place while the unit is operating. We advise not to operate the unit without the air filter, as dust build-up inside the unit can cause malfunction or overheating.
You don’t need to actively use the air-purification function, but the filter still needs to be installed.
In other words, you can use it for dehumidification only, but you should not run it without the filter.
