If your Ionmax ION801 is behaving unusually or shutting off shortly after being turned on, the issue is most commonly related to the unit's built-in safety protection features.

Possible causes and solutions:

1. Automatic 10-hour shut-off

By default, the unit operates for a maximum of 10 hours at a time when switched on. If no timer is set (the timer LEDs are not illuminated), the unit will run for 10 hours and then automatically turn off. This is a normal safety feature.

3. Unstable power supply

Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet and avoid using extension cords or power boards where possible. Check whether the issue persists when connected directly to a power source.

4. Tip-over safety protection activated

Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface. If the heater is tilted or knocked over, even slightly, the tip-over safety switch may automatically shut the unit off.

5. Internal fault

If the unit continues to shut down unexpectedly after the above checks have been completed, it may require inspection or servicing.
