The backup coin battery maintains the unit’s date and time settings. It is located underneath the main battery.
If the back up battery needs replacement then, please follow the steps below:
1. Remove the main battery from the unit. You will find the backup coin battery (CR1220) underneath.
2. Remove the existing coin battery and replace it with a brand-new CR1220 battery.
3. Turn the unit on.
4. Go to Settings → Date and Time.
5. Set the correct date and time, then select Update.

For the Prodigy II, if the current year is not available in the options, the unit requires a software update.
In this case, the breathalyser will need to be sent to us for the update.
